Description

When I started losing strength in my neck, we used a couple of different types of neck braces. We started with the Headmaster. It did what is designed to do, but it hurt my chest. The pressure it put on chest while using it caused a lot of discomfort and pain.

We switched to the Vive wraparound style neck brace. We tried and used both the 3- and 4-inch sizes. I would choose whichever felt good at the time. After wearing the braces a bunch, I knew which one I wanted.

The difficulty with all neck braces is how they push up our chins. This makes it hard to talk or eat. This irritated me most when I used Voice Access to keep working. In the end, I used neck braces on a limited basis because I liked using my mouth.
