We have collected a few resources specifically to help caregivers.

Caregivers need to track a mix of activities while caring for their pALS. This can include medications, feeding, stretching, and toileting. Hopefully, these logbooks can help or give you some ideas.

The ALS Functional Rating Scale – Revised (ALSFRS-R) is the most widely used clinical tool for assessing physical function and disease progression in individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It was introduced in 1999 as an update to the original ALSFRS (1991) to better capture respiratory function alongside bulbar and limb domains.

Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) is a key measurement in respiratory health that represents the maximum volume of air a person can forcefully exhale after taking the deepest breath possible. It is typically assessed using spirometry, a common pulmonary function test.

This calculator was developed to help ALS patients understand their nutritional needs and adapt as the disease progresses.
