Two of my goals this year are to get into my power chair more and to hang out with people more often. Since mid-March, I have been getting in my chair at least once a week. A huge thank you to Sheila and Tiffany for making this happen. We went on a couple of walks as well, which was incredible!
I think I need a name for my power chair. It has red accents and lots of stickers. Maybe Red Racer? Hmmm… Something to ponder.
I haven’t been doing too bad with second goal either. My mom and dad have been coming by each week to play Ticket to Ride with us on Board Game Arena (BGA). I got to learn Euchre with my in laws too. David Tyler dropped by after FabCon for a few days. We had a good time catching up. (David and I worked together at 3Cloud.) I even sucked him into a game of Railroad Ink on BGA.
Basketball and friends

A life group from church joined us for the Elite Eight games on Sunday. It was so enjoyable. I joined them in our living room. We discussed the games and questionable officiating. I got to listen to the stories and chime in every so often. It was so nice having friends over again.
In between the games my daughter Kristyna and Steve Jones, a friend from the data community, dropped by to say hi. I was excited to share with everyone the tools I use to create this website. I think it opened some people’s eyes to the scope of work I am doing only using my eyes.
Racecar – Vroom, vroom
Matt and Jeremy brought the racecar by the house on Monday. Matt and I know each other from work and the data community. He and I have spoken at various events together. Two years ago, he and his team supported our Walk to Defeat ALS teams on the rear of his car. This has been great!
We got to see and hear the car in person. Matt gave us the grand tour. Then Jeremy fired it up. All the dogs in the neighborhood started a discussion about this (and maybe some neighbors too). Enjoy the pictures.
So thankful
I am so thankful for gracious friends who talk with me and are patient with my slow responses. It’s so nice to feel welcome and loved. Have a blessed day!
