Description
Early in Steve’s ALS journey, he lost fine motor control of his fingers. One of frustrating things was not being able to button his shirts. Magnetic closures were very helpful. When he couldn’t dress himself anymore, these were easier for his caregivers to use.
On a more humorous note, we referred to these as Steve’s stripper shirt.
Steve likes two brands because of their quality and fashionable options – Tommy Hilfiger and Duluth Trading. Duluth Trading has roomier shirts which fit better during his early ALS stages. Their shirts are also wrinkle resistant which very nice.
There are definitely other options, but Steve didn’t find them as stylish.
Men’s Magnet Front Wrinklefighter Shirt | Duluth Trading Company
As wrinkle-fighting as our original shirt, with a magnet close front that easily snaps together and holds securely in place.
Men’s Adaptive Shirts | Tommy Hilfiger USA

We are using these stages to help you understand when these tools and apps were most effective for Steve.
