Mobile standup desk

This desk has been a desk, table, and staging area. It has been a huge help for taking care of Steve and entertaining guests. We use it for so many things.

Description

We originally bought this desk for Steve to use to work around the house. Because it would raise and lower, he was able to use it with the Go Chair. He was using Voice Access still so that helped as well.

Now, the desk is used more as a table. It has been a huge help to Steve’s caregivers, nurses, and family.

  • Staging area. This is the primary use for caregivers and nurses. When they get Steve ready in the morning, they put all the cleaning supplies on the table and can move it around the bed as needed. The home health nurses and our RT use it for their equipment when they visit.
  • Just a table. We use it as a table for food and occasionally for guests to eat.
  • Still a desk. Sheila still uses as a in the bedroom.

As you can see, this has been a valuable piece of furniture in our house.
