Transfer blanket

We used a transfer blanket a lot in the “in between” stage of Steve’s ability to sit up and stand up on his own. Sheila was able to use the handles to move Steve as needed. Once Steve lost the ability to walk, we used the lifts.

Description

One story about this blanket. We were staying in a hotel in Jacksonville, FL, and Steve fell in the bathroom. He was in an awkward position, and he did not want Sheila and Kristyna, our daughter, to put themselves or him at risk. We called 911 to request a lift assist. The firemen asked about using a sheet to help, and Sheila offered the blanket. They liked the handles and commented on how much easier it was to use.
