ChatterVox

Steve used voice amplification to make sure he could be heard while wearing a ventilator mask. ChatterVox worked for him.

Description

When I needed my NIV more during the day, we tried ChatterVox to amplify my voice. It worked okay. The headset mic was pretty flexible. It worked best when positioned close to a vent hole in the mask. We later purchased the neck microphone which gave us even more flexibility.

We mounted the speaker on the wheelchair both on the armrest and by the headrest. When it was on the headrest, it worked well for close conversations. People could still hear me when they leaned in closer.
