Bathroom remodel

We remodeled our bathroom to make it more accessible for Steve. The goal was to complete it right after we moved in. While we worked with a contractor shortly after moving in, he was delayed starting by nearly a year. We are very happy with the results.

Description

This is not a tool necessarily, but it is a relevant home modification that I wanted to share.

When we purchased our new house, we set aside $30,000 to make the bathroom in our house fully accessible including a zero-entry shower. Our bathroom includes a zero-entry shower, a wheelchair accessible sink, a tall toilet, a toilet seat bidet, and a sprayer bidet. One thing you’ll notice is that we didn’t install grab bars. In my case, I couldn’t use my hands or arms by the time we did the remodel.

Here’s a slideshow of the bathroom remodel.
