Description

While I was working, we worked with vocational rehab here in Kentucky to install automatic door openers. We had one installed on my office door. Because they work with Alexa, I was to shut the door using my voice. This was helpful during Teams calls and when I used voice to text to write and control my computer.

We had a second one installed on the storm door to our deck. The idea was to let me have the independence to go outside without additional help. We had Alexa set up on this one as well. However, we also added push buttons at the foot level of my power chair. These buttons allowed me to open the door without using my voice. The button on the deck was particularly important when I to come back in.

Both door openers have a setting to hold the door open which helps us get through the without it closing on us. I’m not as fast as I used to be.

Here’s the link to the latest model. You can find the wall mounted buttons on the Accessories page.
