Description

It may sound strange, but this hot tub booster seat works. We used this cushion with both our tub transfer bench and the built-in shower bench in our remodeled bathroom. We also traveled with it so we could use it with the shower benches in the accessible showers in hotels.

This cushion gave Steve a combination of comfort and security. The benches are hard. With ALS, you lose muscle everywhere including your butt. This is your natural seat cushion. The cushion helps a lot. It is also a nonslip cushion which gave Steve much more stability in the shower. In his situation, the height of the cushion also helped him stand as his legs weakened.
